As Angie divulged in her blog,
we skipped issue one, because we thought that starting with issue two
might make us seem more established, legitimate. No one
accepts
low numbered checks or literary magazines. Maybe we should
have
started with issue 42. At any rate, this is the lost issue,
the
first issue, sold to you as the sixth.

signatureNormally, we feature stories and poems that have been previously rejected by other publications. This time we feature the two most rejected characters we know--ourselves. Call it the self-indulgent issue. First, we've got seven pages of Angie Palsak's "Kisses in the Trash," a script accompanied by her art. Then, there are seven short shorts by me, Scott Topping. They are short enough not to mention seperately. We are making lots of changes between now and next issue, so please check the new submission guidelines, and keep up to date on our blogs, uglyangie and uglyscott. Until then, |
